Start with 5 positives per day
Using a positive diary is very easy and only takes 5 to 10 minutes per day.
All you have to do is write down 5 positive things a day. That’s it.
If you keep this up for a week or two, you will notice an improvement in how you feel.
In other words, with an investment of no more than 5 minutes a day, you can feel better about yourself in two weeks.
Scientifically validated
Scientific research shows that this simple exercise results in an improvement of our psychological well-being that lasts for several months (see the blog post on scientific research).
In other words, by investing just over an hour in yourself over the next two weeks, you will already be able to realize a long-term improvement in your feeling and mindset.
“Ultimately, there’s one investment that supersedes all others: Invest in yourself. Nobody can take away what you’ve got in yourself, and everybody has potential they haven’t used yet.”
~ Warren Buffett, one of the most successful investors in the world
Many benefits
A positive mindset has many benefits. In addition to feeling better, a positive mindset also leads to more confidence and courage to work on our goals and dreams.
In addition, a positive mindset also enables us to better cope with setbacks and are more stress-resistant and resilient.
This means that we are less likely to give up on our goals and dreams, which increases the chance that we will be able to realize them.
“There are some people who live in a dream world, and some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.”
~ Douglas H. Everett, British chemist and author
